It is not possible to whiten teeth with Smyle whitening gel if you have artificial teeth made of, for example, composite plastic/porcelain, fillings or dental jewellery. These parts are not bleached because our products are designed to bleach enamel.
No, we do not test any of our products on animals at all, we are also Peta-approved.
A whitening treatment from Smyle works in the same way as that of a dentist. The whitening gel effectively removes discolorations, making your teeth whiter and more beautiful, without causing damage to or changes to the enamel. The bleaching process focuses on removing discolored particles, both on and partially within the enamel pockets, without affecting the enamel itself. Our products have a pH value equal to the natural pH value of the oral cavity, which is approximately 7. For comparison, soft drinks have a pH value of 2.9.
People often notice improvement after their first treatment. The number of treatments needed varies depending on your teeth. Usually 1 to 10 treatments are sufficient to achieve a whiter smile. Factors that play a role in this are how white you want your teeth and how strong the discoloration was before the treatment started.
We recommend that you whiten your teeth once a day during the treatment. For an accelerated result, some people choose to whiten their teeth in the morning and evening. If you are satisfied with the whiteness, stop the treatment. You will notice a gradual color difference, so you do not run the risk of unnaturally white teeth.

The effect of teeth whitening is not permanent. After treatment, the teeth will discolor again over time due to consuming colored foods and drinks, aging and possibly smoking or snacking.
