OPTIMAL PROTECTION
Our eBrush is tested by CTI in 2024 using international standards (CTI LD-SHPHCD-1440) for how to test the removal of plaque causing bacteria. They concluded that over 99.98% of plaque-causing bacteria are removed by brushing with the Smyle eBrush with the bamboo brush heads. Want to see receive this test report? Our tablets are tested by the Academic Center for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA). They found that the amount of fluoride released is equal to or more than the ammount in 'normal' toothpaste. We use the optimal 1450 parts fluoride per million. Check the report here
A free fluoride level – say, the extent to which the fluoride is actually released in your mouth – of above 1000-1200 ppm is considered adequate and significant. This can also be found in the literature. See also here
The effect of fluoride is further enhanced by innovative hydroxyapatite. This protects just like fluoride, but it is a natural material of the teeth. In addition, it closes the 'dental tubules' (small channels) to your nerves, so that there is less chance of sensitive teeth. It also has a whitening effect. Read more about it here.
OPTIMAL RDA VALUE
Abrasives are used in toothpastes to remove plaque and stains. Smyle has an RDA (relative dentin abrasivity) of 100 – 115. An RDA value of 100-115 is very safe.
All values below 250 are considered safe for lifelong use, according to the internationally accepted standard of the American Dental Association (ADA).
